Born in 1988, Lara was awarded a Bachelor of Music at Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi in Como, Italy, with highest honours at 19 years of age, both performing and writing a thesis about the harmonic syntax in the music by Fauré, Debussy and Ravel.
At the age of 21 Lara completed a Master of Music Pedagogy at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano (Switzerland), supported byscholarships from Zonta Club of Lugano and the Fondazione Pro Libertas et Humanitas Kasimir Bartkowiak.
She has worked in piano masterclasses with an extensive number of artists, including Vladimir Ashkenazy, Vovka Ashkenazy, S. Bogino, N. Trull, A. Planés, etc. as well as in chamber music masterclasses with Karl Leister, F. Benda and others.
Lara has attended liedbegleitung courses with D. Fueter and conducting courses with P. Gelmini.

Lara has performed as soloist and with camber music ensemble in Italy, Switzerland and Finland.
As conductor, she performed with Orchestra Sinfonica del Lario and Orchestra Philarmonica Mihail Jora of Bacau.
As soloist, she performed Mozart’s piano concerto KV 467 and Bach’s piano concerto BWV 1052 with Orchestra da Camera di Lugano conducted by Stefano Bazzi.

As teacher, she has worked in schools such are Smart Academy (Balerna), Scuola di musica del Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana, TASIS (The American School in Lugano) and others.

Lara has worked as member of the Artistic Committee of Ceresio Estate (Lugano, 2011) and Musica in ospedale (Mendrisio, 2012 & 2013) organizing several music events.
